Changes to Reigate Parish Playgroup
To Current and Prospective Families of Reigate Parish Playgroup
It is with deep regret that we must inform you that Reigate Parish Playgroup will cease to operate from its current premises, at Reigate Parish Church Primary School, from August 2020. For the last 23 years, the playgroup has operated from the school’s premises, however, the school has recently informed us of its decision to cease this arrangement in August 2020. We have discussed with the school governors the repercussions this decision has for Playgroup and the wider community, yet despite our best efforts, their decision stands.
Obviously this news is as shocking and disappointing to you as it is to us, and we realise you may have questions or concerns that you would like to raise. To this end, a member of the Management Committee will be available outside Playgroup at both pick up and drop off until Friday to assist you, to ensure that staff can continue to focus on the incredible work that they do with the children.

Reigate Parish Playgroup is an independent charity, funded through the Nursery Education Grant and an active fundraising team, which provides the playgroup with a wide variety of materials and educational aids through which to teach the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
We have strong links with the Parish School enabling us to help smooth the transition into Reception. Ministers from St Mary’s Church, Reigate visit us on a regular basis to engage with the children in songs, play and story telling. We encourage parental involvement at all stages, ranging from regular parental sign up sessions to playing an active role on the Committee and other support teams.
